Paden City Elementary Holds Election

October 16, 2019
Wetzel Chronicle

Fifth and Sixth grade students at Paden City Elementary were up for the challenge of trying to convince their fellow student body members that they could make the school a better place to learn.

Students created campaign posters and videos. At an assembly on Monday, October 7, the candidates introduced themselves. The student body then viewed the videos of the candidates that stated why they would be great at representing PCE. After the assembly, students went back to their homerooms and were given a ballot with the eleven candidates with directions to vote for six students. The election results were announced on October 8 with the 2019-20 Student Council consisting of: Finn Loy, Grace Greene, Shandi Lively, Jessup Higgins, John Mace, and Jack Nelson. Congratulations to all the students for taking the extra effort to run for student council AND congratulations to the new student council - the work is just beginning.
