April 3, 2019
Wetzel Chronicle

Two Valley High School students were accepted for the Arts Alive! 2019; two ceramic pieces by VHS senior Emily Pingley, and 2-D collage portrait by freshman Lydia Adams. The students' art work will be part of the visual art exhibit for Arts Alive! 2019 in Charleston, W.Va. The exhibit will be mounted on Friday, April 12 in the Charleston Municipal Auditorium and be ready for viewing beginning at 6 p.m. that evening.

Dr. Raymond W.S. Lowther, The Arts Coordinator, noted, "The visual art exhibit for Arts Alive is second to none. Truly, it is an exemplary display of the talents of young West Virginia student visual artists. Your students' pieces will be an artistic asset representing visual art in West Virginia schools. We have an exceptional exhibit of more than 200 visual art pieces and a stellar performing arts show of 18 solo or ensemble acts."

Congratulations to Emily Pingley and Lydia Adams.
