Fire Destroys New Martinsville Home

UPDATE: We have received word that the family has received more than they can handle in regards to the clothing donation drive mentioned below. We will publish an update if there is another donation drive in the future, or benefit.

Firefighters try to put out the flames of a fire that destroyed a New Martinsville home on March 26.

A New Martinsville home has been destroyed due to a March 26 fire. The fire occurred at 32 S at the AAA Homes park, and the the cause of the fire is undetermined. There were no injuries.

The occupants of the home are trying to salvage what few things they can; however, it appears the family has lost everything.

Donations are currently being accepted at the AAA Homes main office, located along Route 2 in New Martinsville. The AAA Homes main office is open 8 a.m. to noon, Monday thru Friday.

Clothing sizes are as follows: size XL and small men's shirts; 40x34 and 33x30 men's pants; size 14 men's shoes; sizes 2X and medium women's shirts; sizes 2x, 16, and 22 women's pants, and size 9 and size 9 wide women's shoes.
