3:07 p.m., Dec. 6 -- Parts of Pine Grove's water service area have been without water for 24 hours as the town's workforce is repairing a water line rupture. The rupture occurred the morning of Dec. 5, due to a vehicle accident.

According to Pine Grove officials, the line was located 15 inches under concrete. The crew stopped working on repairs at midnight, Dec. 6 and was expected to begin work again today at 6 a.m.

Mayor Richard Price had noted, via the town's Facebook page, that the water line broke horizontally and "runs 200 yards."

Dec. 5 -- A precautionary boil water notice has been issued for the Town of Pine Grove's North Fork Road/Morgan and Stone Addition.

It was noted that the problem is anticipated to be resolved within 72 hours, and the boil order is precautionary.
