Results Are Tallied For Wetzel County

9:38 p.m. --

With 22/22 precincts counted in Wetzel County, Democrat Gregory Morris has defeated Independent Allen Rush in a very close race. Morris garnered 2,398 votes, compared to Rush's 2,320 votes.

Also in Wetzel County, Democrat incumbent Dave Pethtel defeated Republican Phillip Wiley. Pethtel garnered 2,888 votes, while Wiley acquired 2,034 votes.

The Wetzel Brunch Bill also proved to be a very close race. A total of 2,420 voters voted "Yes," for the measure, while 2,479 voted "No" on the measure.

As always, these are unofficial results. Results are not official until they are canvassed at a future date.


9:08 p.m. --

With 15 of 22 precincts tallied, Democrat Gregory Morris leads Allen Rush - 1,783 to 1,751.

Democrat incumbent Dave Pethtel leads Republican Phillip Wiley - 2,181 to 1,495.

As to the Wetzel Brunch Bill, 1,825 voters have voted "Yes" for the measure, while 1,837 have voted "No."


8:59 p.m. --

With 10/22 precincts counted, Allen Rush leads Gregory Morris - 1,526 to 1,441. Dave Pethtel leads Phillip Wiley in Wetzel County - 1,850 to 1,239.

A total of 1,540 have voted "Yes" for the Wetzel Brunch Bill, while 1,532 have voted "No."


8:52 p.m. --

Currently, after five precincts have been tallied, Allen Rush leads Gregory Morris, 1,153 to 1,119. Dave Pethtel leads Phillip Wiley, 1,428 to 936.

A total of 1,191 have voted "No" for the Wetzel Brunch Bill, while 1,155 have voted "Yes."

The precincts tallied include North Steelton, Steelton, Church House, and Porters Falls School House.

There are still several precincts to be submitted.


7:34 p.m. --

Polls have closed in West Virginia, and the Wetzel Chronicle will share results from local races as votes are tallied.
