Lady Hornets Fall to Clay-Battelle

The Hundred Hornets' Katherine Henderson had a double-double with 10 service points - including a pair of aces, while bumping up 23 digs, but it was quite enough to get past Clay-Battelle at home recently in straight sets.

Trinity took control early and won the first set (10-25) and the second set (9-25) before the Hornets caught fire and dropped a heart-breaker (18-25) to lose the match.

Henderson added a pair of kills, dished out an assist, and blocked three shots, while Emily Metz tacked on nine service points with two aces, two kills and 11 digs. Casey Henderson poured in seven markers and provided one assist and one dig.

In addition, Savanah Bragg and Kayley Davis each scored four service points with Bragg adding a block and an assist, while Davis added six digs. Kayla Matthews scored three times, added 10 digs, one kill and one block, while Aubrie Hawkins bumped up a dig for all the Hundred statistics.


Hundred Volleyball Struggling, Lose To MCA

Katherine Henderson stacked the stat sheet with four points, four kills, 11 digs and one block, but it wasn't enough for Hundred to get past Morgantown Christian Academy Sept. 20 in Morgantown.

It didn't take long for Hundred to know that it was going to be a short day when Christian Academy swatted the Hornets, 8-25, in the first set, as well as in both the second and third set.

Following Henderson was fellow senior classmate Emily Metz; she scored a team-high six points with one ace, while adding three digs and dishing out four assists. Casey Henderson stepped up and scored five points, including a service ace, one dig and blocked a shot.

In addition, Kayla Matthews, Madison Fetty and Savannah Bragg each totaled three points, with Matthews supplying six digs. Fetty bumped up five digs and passed out two assists. Bragg added a kill, while Rachel Snedden had five digs and dished out an assist and blocked a shot.


Lady Hornets Fall To East Richland

Emily Metz served up 11 points - with four service aces, but it wasn't quite enough to get past the home team East Richland in straight sets, 8-25, 21-25 and 19-25 on Sept. 13.

Metz added five digs, four kills and one assist, while Katherine Henderson provided nine points with two aces, 16 digs, four kills and one assist. Madison Fetty and Casey Henderson each scored nine points, with Fetty chipping in with 11 digs, one assist, one dig and one service ace.

In addition, Savannah Bragg tallied six markers, four digs and one block shot, while Rachel Snedden bumped up six digs and dished out an assist. Aubrie Hawkins finished all the Hornets statistics with one blocked shot.
