The Beallsville Blue Devils continued to dominate Hundred, as the Devils scored early and often in a 67-6 win Sept. 7 at Cosgray Field.

After holding Hundred to a three and out in its first offensive series, the Blue Devils went 60 yards on five plays before scoring their first touchdowns and a safety to go up 15-0, before the Hornets' Andrew Zedell knocked the ball loose on a tackle. At that point, Martin Baker scooped up the loose ball and raced at the Devils' 26-yard line.

After a couple Zedell runs and a Goff 16-yard catch and run, Zedell would not be denied as he fought off five Devil defenders on his way to the only Hornet touchdown, making it 15-6 with 1:14 left in the opening period.

Beallsville ran the ensuing kick back 20 yards, and after a four-yard reception and a nice first-down run, ended the opening period with the Blue Devils holding a 15-6 lead.

The Blue Devils caught the Hundred secondary napping on their first offensive play for a touchdown to go up, 21-6.

After Beallsville scored a touchdown making it 34-6, Hundred would take the ensuing kick to mid-field after a Blue Devil personal foul. The Hornets' Skylar Goff broke off a 43-yard scamper and was pulled down at the seven-yard line. Zedell was running for his life and would cough up his first-ever fumble, where upon a Blue Devil defender picked up the loose pigskin and ran 85 yards for a touchdown, making the lead 41-6 after the PAT.

Hundred would move the ball, but the Devils would pick one off with a first and goal inside the 10-yard line. After several penalties, Beallsville would take it down to the 7-yard line before calling a time-out with .32 ticks left on the clock. Facing a fourth down at the 10-yard line, the Blue Devils quarterback would take it in for a touchdown to give the visitors a 48-6 advantage after the PAT kick.

On the ensuing kick-off, Goff ran back a 55-yard run to end the period. It didn't take the visitors long to get on the board to start the second half by running back the kick 79 yards for a touchdown and a 54-6 lead.

The Blue Devils would convert on a 67-yard pass play, but Baker second blocked PAT to grab a 60-6 lead still in the third, and would add one more touchdown and a PAT to end the game.

Zedell and Goff would gain 90 and 70 yards rushing, respectively, and would have gained much more, but with all the minus yardage from tackles for loss of yardage, it wasn't to be on this night. Both Zedell and Goff ran well and carried many Devil defenders on the majority of their runs. Goff caught a pass for 16 yards.

Defensively, Goff had a team-high eight tackles, while Brandon Rine and Jacob Kuhn each made seven stops, with Zedell and David Derby each adding five tackles.

In addition, Gauge Boston and Bryce Bartrug each made five tackles. The Hornets will try to break the longest high school losing streak at 50 on Saturday at Hannan with kick-off scheduled at 2 p.m.
