Jeffers, Simpson To Be Wed In June

Mrs. Patricia Bouldin Jeffers announces the engagement of her daughter, Ms. Anne Bouldin Jeffers, of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, to Mr. Mark Simpson, also of Winston-Salem.

Anne is the granddaughter of the late Anne and James Clark of Wheeling and the late Betty and Howard Jeffers of New Martinsville. She is also the daughter of the late Thomas E. Jeffers.

A graduate of Magnolia High School, New Martinsville, and Bethany College, where she received a B. S. degree in physics, Anne holds a M.S. in physics from Wake Forest University and a M.S. in biomedical engineering from a joint program of the Wake Forest University and Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. She is an Associate Professor of Physics and Chair of the Department of Engineering, Astronomy, and Physics at Guilford Technical Community College in Jamestown, NC.

Mark is the son of Walter and Janice Simpson of North Shields, England. He is the grandson of the late William and Georgina Simpson of North Shields, England and the late William and Evelyn Park of Percy Main, England. He is a graduate with A levels of the Royal Grammar School, New Castle-upon-Tyne and played for England on the U18 schoolboys' soccer team. He attended Rutgers University, where he was recruited to play on their Division I soccer team and graduated from Loughborough University in Leicester, England with B.Sc. in economics with human geography. Mark is the Director of Soccer at Twin City Youth Soccer Association in Winston-Salem and the owner of SoccerStyle, a video performance analysis company.

A June wedding is planned in Haiku, on the island of Maui, Hawaii.
