Miller Graduates With Honors

Jason Richard Miller, son of Dr. Bradley and Jodi Miller, graduated cum laude with College Honors from Marietta College on May 6, 2018. He received his Bachelors of Science with majors in Chemistry and Biochemistry as well as a minor in Biology.

He was a member of the following honor societies: Alpha Lambda Delta (Freshman) where he served as treasurer for the 2017-2018 academic year, Beta Beta Beta (Biology), Gamma Sigma Epsilon (Chemistry), Kappa Mu Epsilon (Mathematics) and Omicron Delta Kappa (Leadership).

He was a member of the Scholar's Community from 2015 through 2018 where he served as historian for the 2017-2018 academic year.

Jason served as a volunteer for the Academic Resource Center in the spring of 2015 as a note-taker for Calculus II, during Meet a Scientist Day in May of 2017, and Empty Bowls in 2017.

He was a recipient of the Ellis L. and Jennie Mae Krause Academic Enrichment Prize from 2015 through 2018.

He was an active member of the Chemistry Club where he served as president in 2016-2017. He researched in the Biochemistry Research lab from 2015 through 2018, presented at All Scholars Day for the Biochemistry Research lab from 2015 to 2018 and was awarded an Investigative Studies Summer Fellowship in 2017 at Marietta College.

He was a student presenter on The Effects of Lipophilicity of Propofol Derivatives on Lung Cancer Cells at the 255th National American Chemical Society meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana, in March 2018.

Jason will be attending the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, WV as a member of the class of 2022.
