Paden City seniors Aubrey Neff and Jenna Ferrebee drove in six of the Lady Wildcats' 11 runs with three singles and two doubles, helping to lead Paden City to a 11-0 mercy-rule shortened game. The Region I, Section II elimination game occurred May 2 at Tyler Consolidated.

Hannah Loy opened the game with a single, and Neff moved her to third with a single as Loy skipped second on a free pass. Neff and Loy each scored on a Ferrebee double to give them a 2-0 lead.

The Lady Knights' JoLee Walton singled but was erased on a fielder's choice, and after another single by M. Ice, the Wildcats pulled off a double-play to get out of the first unscathed.

Both the Wildcats and Knights went down in order in the second, but Paden City exploded with four runs in the third off singles by Erin McIntyre, Neff and two-RBIs by Ferrebee, with Hope Cooper scoring off several Silver Knight miscues for a 6-0 lead.

Tyler went down in order for the second inning in a row. Meanwhile Paden City took advantage and scored five more times in the fourth off singles by Loy, McIntyre two-RBI double by Neff, and a walk to Ferrebee, and two more Tyler errors that pushed the Wildcats to 11-0 in the fourth.

The Knights threatened once more in the home-half with singles by Megan DeVaughn and Ice, but two ground-outs and a pop-out to Katrina Heasley at second got the Wildcats out of trouble.

The Wildcats also went down in order in the top of the fifth, while the Silver Knights' S Miller lined a two-out single followed by a Paden City error. This got the party started, but the 'Cats McIntyre would crash the party with a routine pop-out to Heasley once more to end the game and send the young senior-less Knights packing.

Neff led the way offensively with a pair of singles and a two-RBI double, while scoring three runs. Ferrebee singled, doubled and knocked in four, while Loy and McIntrye each singled twice. Ashlyn Moses got the final base-hit for the Wildcats.

McIntyre got the win from the circle, struck-out two and walked one, while the Knights DeVaughn walked four and took the loss from the mound, with Walton walking one in relief.

Walton, DeVaugh, Ice and Miller each singled for Tyler Consolidated.
