Steve Pallisco Seeks to Retain Fourth Ward Council Seat

ELECTION 2018: MEET YOUR CANDIDATES

April 11, 2018
Wetzel Chronicle

Steve Pallisco, current Fourth Ward New Martinsville councilman, is seeking re-election to the position he has held for the last 16 years. During this time, he has worked closely with city employees and department heads, whom he considers the city's most valuable assets, on the Parks and Recreation, Police, Fire, Electric, and Streets committees. He has dedicated much of his time to public service as a member of the Board of Directors for the New Martinsville Regatta and as Chairman of the Riverfront Park Committee. Additionally, Steve has served on the Supervisory Committee for the Bayer Federal Credit Union and the Executive Committee of the Wetzel County Democrats, where he was selected as 2015 Wetzel County Democrat of the Year.

A native of Bellaire, he received an Associate's Degree in Business Management from Belmont Technical College in 1977. He has been an employee of Covestro for 37 years and will soon retire to devote more time to his family and public service. He and his wife Jerry are the proud grandparents to seven school-aged children and also owned the Tin Ceiling, a retail gift shop, on Main Street for more than eight years. They have attended, for 40 years, St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, where Steve sings on the choir. Steve has been actively involved in community theatre for many years.

Steve believes he has always listened to his constituents' concerns and worked to resolve them. He would like to continue his service and assist in seeking ways to make the city more financially solvent. He is particularly passionate about the Police Department's fight against drug addiction and would like to work with members of the community to make strides in this effort.

Lastly, he would like to continue his work in developing the next phase to the First Responders Park.

He asks for the community's support to accomplish these goals.
