Did you hear that? It was the firing of the starting gun in our local political races.

The final day for filing for office was Saturday and a few somewhat surprising races have emerged, on a city, county, and regional level. We enjoy watching the sport of politics, but we hold out hope that good sportsmanship will prevail.

Please play fair and may the best men and women win.
