Hoping For A Resolution

POSTED: January 6, 2010

Family members are crying. Law enforcement officials are working overtime. Even strangers are offering up prayers.

However, as of this printing Casey Lasure is still missing, considered a runaway from her Doolin Run home. We don't know Casey's full story. We don't know why she would choose such an action.

What we do know is that it is causing grief, heartache, and exhaustion.

If indeed this disappearance is purely by choice, then we, as well as many others, are angry. There are nearly always other ways to find a solution to a problem than simply running from it. Really, running isn't a resolution, it is simply avoidance.

Of course we hope her friends and loved ones will be able to find Casey, but perhaps more important, peace.

What a awful and judgemental thing to print in what is supposed to be a news source. And this paper prints "poems" about bad service from a local store. Thank god the girl was found safe, with all the horrible things that go on in this day and age. How incompetent would you have looked if the outcome would have been worse. I am glad the girl was found and I hope someone at least inquired into why she would run away. And who are you to criticize a miner child publicly, when like you say you do not know the whole story! But I am sure YOU and cracker jack reporting team spent many many hours losing sleep while you search for the girl. You are a joke. The only thing that would make that chain store in your town worse would be you to get a job there but they don have a gossip department do they.
