January is the month for dreaming. Clear white snow covering the landscape is a perfect place to draw our dreams. Here in the tri-county area, with darkened skies, frequently falling raindrops, numerous puddles to avoid, and sometimes snow, we need to do lots of January dreaming.

Flowers and the containers to plant them in fill my dreams for springtime and summer. What combinations of plants will I choose this year, what new varieties will I try, and will I have time to do all the necessary care for these containers? My dreams are fueled by seeing an attractive container on the cover of a book or magazine. I check some online computer sites for specific information about new plants. The dreams are becoming reality.
